Kevin's Story
Kevin’s superpower started with a rainbow.
Not a metaphorical one, a literal scientific one. In high school biology class, staring at a diagram of the electromagnetic spectrum, something clicked. He looked at the color bands spread across the page and thought: this looks like a personality. What if I made my personality my superpower by expanding it, making it bigger?

Kevin is a philosopher, the kind who doesn’t accept the boundaries of where a concept is supposed to apply. Take irony. Most people know it from English class: the opposite of what you’d expect. Kevin takes it further. Philosophically, he argues, irony can function as a predictive tool. Expect the unexpected and you can actually anticipate it. Even in fiction, foreshadowing hints at something ironic to come. If truth is stranger than fiction, he reasons, then irony has a bigger role in everyday life than most people ever consider.

He’s currently writing a book, an anthology of philosophies, mostly about free will. His approach is characteristically his own: instead of trying to define free will as a whole (which is where most people give up), he breaks it down into its components and reconstructs it through a philosophical lens.
Kevin also took two online comedy and humor writing classes back to back this year because he was proud of his progress and wanted to keep going. He has strong opinions about Mortal Kombat 2 that he will absolutely share with you.
